Step-by-step guide
Manufacturers
This section covers how to manage Manufacturers in TPD PRO — the entities responsible for producing the products being notified.
What is a Manufacturer?
A Manufacturer in TPD PRO represents the legal entity that physically produces the product being submitted. This may be the same as the Submitter or a separate third-party company. Each product submission must be linked to a specific Manufacturer for regulatory accuracy and traceability.
Why Manufacturers Are Important
Required by EU-CEG for every product notification
Helps distinguish between companies that submit and those that produce
Allows users to manage products from multiple production facilities or white-label partners
Supports compliance documentation and identity verification for authorities
Default Manufacturer
When registering a new account in TPD PRO, a default Manufacturer is automatically created based on the company data entered during registration (if applicable). You can edit or replace this entry at any time.
Add a Manufacturer
To create additional manufacturers:
Go to Manufacturers in the left-hand menu
Click “Create”
Fill in the required fields:
Name — Legal name of the manufacturing company
Address — Registered address of the manufacturer
Country — Country of incorporation
Email and Phone (mandatory)
Production Sites (mandatory) — Add physical addresses where production takes place
Click “Save”
✅ You can manage multiple manufacturers and select the appropriate one when creating each submission.
Reusing Manufacturers
Once added, a Manufacturer can be reused in multiple product submissions
You can assign a different Manufacturer per submission
Editing a Manufacturer's info does not affect existing submissions unless updated manually
