Key entities

TPD PRO is built around a set of core entities that make product notification workflows efficient, organized, and compliant. Below is an overview of each key module within the system:

Submitters

The central entity in TPD PRO. A Submitter is the company officially responsible for submitting product notifications to EU Member States via EU-CEG. All actions within the system — submissions, file generation, reporting — are performed on behalf of a selected Submitter.

Manufacturers

Represents the actual producers of the products. Products can be manufactured in-house or by third parties. Each product must be linked to a manufacturer to ensure traceability and regulatory accuracy.

Submissions

A central list of all product notifications — either in draft, under review, or submitted. Each submission represents one or more product registrations intended for EU-CEG.

Submission Categories

Organizational tools used to classify and group both Submissions for easier filtering, tracking, and reporting.

Brand Names

Represent the commercial names under which products are marketed. They are a key component in regulatory submissions, especially when creating product Presentations.

In TPD PRO, Brand Names are managed separately to allow for easy reuse and consistency across multiple submissions and markets.

Presentations

Market-specific product forms (e.g., different packaging or languages). A single submission can contain multiple presentations, each targeting a specific country or market.

Ingredients

A reusable repository of ingredients used in product formulations. This library allows users to maintain consistency and easily reference existing ingredient profiles across multiple products.

Compositions

Liquid formulas created from selected ingredients. Compositions can be saved, categorized, and reused in multiple product submissions or presentations.

Composition Categories

Organizational tools used to classify and group both Compositions for easier filtering, tracking, and reporting.

Sales Data

Annual reports detailing product sales. This section allows users to store and manage required sales data associated with specific products or markets.

File Manager

A centralized storage area for documents, certificates, and other files linked to ingredients, compositions, and submissions.
