Greece vape product registration

Greece follows the EU Tobacco Products Directive (2014/40/EU) for the notification of e-cigarettes, refill containers, and nicotine-containing products. The process includes submission via the EU-CEG system and a mandatory six-month notification period before products can legally be sold on the market.

Step 1: Prepare the Submission

Using TPD PRO, compile your product data in EU-CEG-compliant XML format:

  • Create Submitter and Manufacturer profiles

  • Build Compositions with accurate ingredient and toxicological data

  • Set up Presentations for the Greek market

  • Upload required documents, including packaging, leaflet, emission tests, and toxicological files

  • Validate and export all XML files

Step 2: Submit via eTrustEx

Log in to the eTrustEx platform and upload files in the correct sequence:

  1. Submitter XML

  2. Attachments (PDFs)

  3. Submission XML

Each file must receive a “Success” response to be considered complete.

Step 3: Six-Month Notification Period

After submission, Greece enforces a six-month waiting period before the product can be placed on the market. No sales or public availability is permitted during this time.

Step 4: Public Listing

Once the waiting period is over and the submission is validated, approved products are listed on the official website of the Greek Ministry of Health:

www.moh.gov.gr

This listing confirms that the product is legally authorized for sale in Greece.
